7/7/05it was a beautiful thursday, i woke up a kind of early, and forced myself up to go to dr.browning's class. today is suppose to be the last class for this session. finally, the end of my ethical issues in healthcare era. the class where a logistics and transport student may come in, using logics and common senses, manage to give some of biology, health, and other feild related to the subject a hard time to defend things that they belive and learn in class. i personally have to say that i am glad to be a part of the class and i am glad that i was given an equal chance as the other students to participate and to voice out opinions( eventhough i sometimes flet that what i said was really going to make some of them wanna shoot me in the ass)..i really love the learning culture where the professor are there to guide you,but you, yourself have to work hard and be genuine in creating and developing ideas. you have the total freedom to say what you want to say, and there shall be no way the professor gonna shut you off just because he hates your idea. the most he can do was only to try to give a better arguments. if he fail to do so...there you go, man...all the way to the top...so , getting back to the story..the moment i got to the class, the first word i heard was "imran, you dont wish you want to be here today".came from on eof my most actic classmate(sometimes i think she is tooooooooo.....conservative and narrow minded, but at some times, she was so impressive with ideas)..actually, opps! it is an EXAMINATION DAY!!!..so i met dr.browning, returned the book he lend me,and walk sadly home( i mean it). stopped at the library to borrow a video about crusade..as i walked home, there was a girl, with 2 puppies..cute?i better keep it for myself..walked passed them, suddenly i felt like somethin gwas following me..yup, it was those cute puppies..i guess they like me, started to play and licking my shoes and pants..( pulak dah..kan dah kena samak)..anyway, it was a nice moment, looking at those beautiful creatures having fun. ..
got home, switched on the t.v...i just can't belive my eyes....LONDON SUBWAYS was bombed..3 mass explosion..and one more on LONDON BUS...45 ppl dead, hundreds more wounded..come on..man...london underground..a system that i have been dreaming to be for very..very lonr time!!! and also..london bus..double decker...gosh!!!! here in U.S.A...homeland and security department decided to move the security level from code yellow(aware) to code orange(high)..applied on every massive transportation facilities and points. actually, the issue of safety in subways and any other transport related areas has been discussed since the past 2 and a half years.but the difference is, most of the time the discussion and debate over this matter been focused on facilites in the united states. i still remember, reading an issue if the economist few years back, there was several article about how the government of USA should tighten the security level at every subway, metro and amtrak stations. 1 year after that, 11/9/2004...madrid bombing happened. and today..7/7/05, london u/g and bus...it was said that the incident, this time is a way to send political message to the G* meeting that is currently held in scotland. when the meeting was suppose to discuss issues about fighting terrorism, the stand of the member countries in the palestanian issues, steps to be taken(monetarily mostly) by each member in working towards realizing kyoto protocol, measures to take in helping the afrcan nations in deling with famine, disease, etc...having this incident would definately send some sort ot message to the delegations. tony blair, rushed back as soon as he heard the news( not like bush that decided to do some story telling with kindergaten kids when the 2 WTC towers was hit in sept 11 tragedy)..and i personally felt that this incident, will definately influance the meeting, and the worst could happen would be....G8 to be postponed to some other time.
evening. .jeff met me, telling me that the president of drury uni is worried on our safety relatin g to the london tragedy..and he suggest us to stay safe and never so anythig to attract attention..including those who wears headscarfs..he thought it is not a good idea to do that now, looking at the condition we are living in. i personally would like to go against it...until there was a visible proof that there are imminent threat to these people, than i shall agree to them. i not...sorry bro..wrong M.C..we later walked ourself..all the way to hammons feils to watch springfeild cardinals game(its baseball-2nd devision) we was introduced to the audience( we was on the feild, ,man!!!) before the game started...and got some free stuffs too..the home team won against arkansas by 4-2 runs..yup..only 6 runs..BORING....not the experience, but the game...
after the game, bob and me went to the sife HQ to load up 9 t.v's to be given to each of our house, and some phones to those who are lucky. tired, but i am o.k with it, as long as my people that i am takin care of is happy.
i guess thats all for the day..adios!!
