i got fever..not really a bad one but enough to force me to miss my normal saturday ultimate pickup @ UM...

people has been asking what in the world ultimate frisbee is, and i had to explain things again and again. from now on, after ardwork(well, not so hard actually) i found a Nike advert on ultimate and guess this will be good for people to know that it is not only throw as you like and catch.

well, past few days were..inevitably filled with lots of non-academic, nor anything related to my job in the office. i practically have nothing to write about these past days, except last night, after such a long time...edzuan and me went out for a chat over drink in Akak's stall near his place. yes, it has been such a long..long time since we did that. you know, edzuan is not somebody new to me. we have known each other since the past 6 years, and i can't believe myself that time passed by so fast, so much we went thru after all these years.

i'm glad he is making positive steps in his live. the effect after operation on his brain tumor really took a lot of him. he has changed to a bit of a different person, but thats all understandable, considering how much sufferings he had, and i'm proud to see he is moving up again. i really am.

things that happened today was practically had nothing much to be talk about. went to the office, (finally) taking necessary forms to claim my salary. yes, after working since january, i have not even once claim my pay. don't ask me why. maybe the enthusiasm of job made me look at it as a small thing. telling you the truth, when you9i mean i, in this case) know every single thing you do in the office , even it is as small as xeroxing some forms or faxing some letters to faculties. but deep inside you know how much it will later benefit the bigger scale of people...be it students or staffs...and that particular benefit will later be translated and spread to the larger community, you(or at least in my case) tend to feel obligated to do so, and that later be shown in term of the wants to do more and more so other people will get at least some good of what you do. then the issue of pay seemed to be so small. its not my coordinators never tell us to do so, but i've been delaying it for another task. the more important one. and that nantilah, aku buat attitude cost me what i have now.but worry no more, i have the forms now, will send it tomorrow, first thing in the morning.

evening, i told myself not to play ultimate so i can give a chance for my foot to rehab, but hehehe..(evil laughs) can't resist myself lah. bare in mind that it was just after heavy rain and several layout on the feild was enough to make me looks like the Swamp Thing. but it was fun,tho..to dive and dragged for 4 meters on the ground (i mean, mud). feels like the old kid days of mine was back in memory.

and now, in this i have to say the best cyber cafe in Section 2, Shah Alam i just had avoice chat with my cousin that is currently pursuing her studies in france. god knows which part in france she is in, but for sure...she is there. after such a LOOOOONG time we only chat by text in YM, i just love the wonders of technology allowing us to finally TALK to each other..and its FREE! =) and being one of the most devilish cousin i have, she purpose sent me these 2 pictures just to make me jelous..(tho it wasn't worked that well).but the part i just can't literally accept is..hell she is going to the Germany to watch the WORLD CUP! what else a human being can ask this year? damn! tak masuk lagi cerita2 dia yg membuat aku dengki melampau. ...

pictures that suppose to make me jelous..especially the one below..

i just need a break. i want to go out, watch movie, relax, sit in a corner of a park looking at people and have chance to think about myself. i need to have FUN! it has been a long time since i had one. yes, come to think of it...it has been a long time.

since the past 2 years, the rate of me going out alone to town and do activities without any friend's company has been termendously increasing. yes, i am o.k with that. yes, have more freedom to do what i want when i'm alone. but after a while, i know somehow, once in a while it could be good to have people around, to hang out, to chat, to express yourself, to get together, to do..a lot of things.

i need to get back the happiness of life i hav lost. i want to meet a lot of people again...and want to meet them again and again.

i want it back...

joined a brainstorming session with Malaysia Strategic Research Center (MSRC) on Public Transport in Klang Valley-Problems and Solutions.(or something sounded like that) it was a half-day session where the organizer should be able to sit down in one open table discussion. the people from the government, SPNB (the company that runs bus and LRT systems in K.L) and some more other people releted to the feild. unfortunately, NONE of people from the government turned up, instead, we have Rein Westra from RapidKL (at least, somebody representing a part of SPNB operations), Prof. Hamdan, a lady from town planning unit of UKM, and Teresa Kok, MP for Seputeh.(make it easier for you to recall-she is the whistle blower for the police nude squat video).

discussion went pretty o.k, Dr. Abdul Razak Baginda(one of person i admire-hell, he is GOOD!) controlled the session well, but something that was lacking in the session. he did not specify some kind of scope or solid outcome he was hoping to have. yes, he did say that the outcome will somehow be sent to the people 'upstairs'(that was his own word) and he meant The Deputy Prime Ministe of Malaysia-Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also the founder and current President of MSRC. only later at the second part of the session he mentioned that the solution wanted were any kind of immediate actions can be taken from the above people.

generally, people ended up 'decide' to somehow 'agree' to the idea that we need a solid (and detailed) national transport policy, need to avoid overlapping roles by various government bodies, and the need to have one strong body to enforce it. yes, true. but the problem is, none of those can be done in this coming short period of time. seemed not many people want to admit that Rapid KL is working hard doing all it can to provide the best to people and somehow, we have just got to e patient in order to have the best. nobody can deny the fact that we are somehow improving in providing the service but in the same time the competition with national car policy, plus the standard of living is getting higher(yes, our country is getting prosperous and more prosperous day by day, its just the matter where the hell the money goes is the question) where more and more people can afford to buy cars. to add to it, the ineffieciency of the public transport has been worsening from time to time gives a reason for people to (or just forced to) drive into the city.

people loves to put the blame on others, never on themselves. i have been using public transport since the day i was born (plus being a city boy that doesn't have rich dad to buy me a car), and now pursuing my professional degree in logistics and transportation area, i personally have a kind of differrent way looking at the problem. its the resistence of people to adapt to the system and admits there will always be loopholes in the system and its ok to have one because nothing is perfect in this world. its how we control the level of damage it caused and turn the disbenefit into something usable is the most important part. WE are the one that need to work for the changes. the moment Dato' Muhammad (he is a retired Mejar in the Army) said people have to learn to create the walking culture and fit themself to the system, the whole hall laughed at him...without thinking what relies behind his words. even the people that deals with public transportation at hand somehow shows a kind of disbelief to the idea, how can you expact any layman on the street to take it as their way of life? just have a quick pause and think...while working towards improving the syste, does these people somehow have faith in what they are working on? because if the answer is no, then its a gate to the end of everything.

last but not least, i personally was dissaponted with the level of participation by (sorry to say-i know these people personally so i somehow felt so dissapointed when they did this) lecturers from UiTM Transport department. As the session goes, only Pak Chat used his right to voice up opinion to express his mind. others were just listening and kept on nodding when other speaks. the reason why in the first place they were calles was they were people that were experts in the issue. they were needed there to voice their mind because they conduct researches on the matter, they know the trend, they know what to expact, they just have it..but decide to keep it inside. i am their student, but i gave a hell care on what people are going to say. i was waiting for any of them to speak before i decice to just to honour them as my lecturers, the ones that have thought me. but looking at the way things went, i know i need to move on my own and make my way thru. i am proud, i raised an opinion and it was a valid one. of course later the discussion went on the hotter issues but the point is, no one can deny the validity of my concern. and i received a personal gesture from Secretary General of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Malaysia. though none of my lecturers said anything..i know, i did a right thing.

and i will always fight for the bettermnet of malaysians...

back in shah alam in the morning..suppose to enter the office but i was too tired for that..ended be in the office at 3pm. and the hectic part starts. its the last day of visit for the zimbabweans, that means we shall send them to the airport. taking air asia to johore because UTM is their next destination. that means..we will need to go to recently opened LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal). and thats where the story begins...

you know, to get to LCCT you got to take the different route. and it is comparatively cost you more distance (and of course, more fuel) to get there. and you might won't like the outcome you will find a zink-walled building..a quarter U shape..with a big 'M' sign from the McD that you will never miss as you drive passing the departure hall. the only thing that made it look a lively were the extensive amount of lights they put on. made it look a bit classy, but still the moment you walk in the building, two things comes to the mind...1- hell, its such a small space if this terminal is hoped to be a hub for low cost carriers in coming years..or in a smaller scope to look at it..the moment Air Asia flies MAS's current domestic route..NO WAY it can accomodate the coming traffic. even with the current traffic they have..lots of complaints were there already. 2- i personally feel this is a kind of opression or maybe a kind of on-going campaign for people not to use low cost carriers to fly because they will also receive low cost treatment from the MAB (Malaysia Airport Berhad) ..and that particular short visit to LCCT just gave me an idea to search more info and write a dedicated posting in this beautiful blog of mine. just wait for it people. it'll be there. just give me some time. an opinion from a transport practitioner, dedicated to a so-called 'development to the betterment of the industry'-my ass.

should stop now. getting angry.

spent time up until 2pm sleeping.(yes, i was hell tired) woke up, shower and prepared to ride back to gombak. got a lot of dirty clothes waiting to be washed. but before that, return the whole box of discs to Blachak so UiTM Ulty Team can play this evening.

Since I'm going home anyway..i decided to stop by ISKL (International School of Kuala Lumpur) for an Ulty session. First time being there, and I agree with MeiJyn and Blachak. They play a higher level of game and I like it. Frankly, the way (it was just the weather-it was cloudy) they play somehow doesn't make me felt too much tired. Amazingly I can stay in the game for quite a long time. Plus, because they really play the wey it was supposed to be played, (no physical contact..the main rule. and the level of game spirit they show was really good made us play with very minimal stress. You know, we play sport..competitive one but still we are cool. Sounds good, that's exactly how i felt.

And now I'm waiting my laundry to be done. After that...good night, world.

this is one of the busiest Monday i ever had. handling a visit from Harare Institute of Technology, Zimbabwe. I fetched 2 of 3 delegation members yesterday and one more will be here by tonight. that means another ride to the KLIA.

Fortunately things went well the whole day. Everything was as planned except the case where we need to postpone one of the faculty visit to wedenesday. other than that..everything went good. in fact i have to say it was great. Prof. Kamhukamwe, the Acting Vice Chancellor and his collegue, Prof P. Muredzi were really using every moment they have to ask questions, understanding every single things they see, and look for opportunities to have long term collaboration with UiTM. and i really like that particular aura they were sending. hopefully for the 2nd day of visit (wednesday as tomorrow, tuesday is a public holiday for Malaysia. The country I LOVE) with Prof. E. Jonathan around will give them extra milage in looking things for the betterment of both universities.

11.380pm, received a phone call from Prof. Jonathan on his arrival. 12.10, left the university for KLIA. Mr. Khairy, the driver..i have to give 2 thumbs up to him. He was at home all the way in Kg. Delek, half-an-hour from UiTM the moment I infromed him on the arrival of Prof. Jonathan. He didn't complain at all. Not a single word. Thank you, mr.

The searching for Prof. Jonathan took quite a while since he wasn't the only guy wearing blue short, with a big blue bag and a laptop in the airport. With the help of a lady from the customer service counter, we finally met. Rode back to Shah Alam, sent him to INTEKMA Resort, and I was off home for (finally) a good sleep. That happens at 2.30am.

forced myself to start the day early. for a sunday morning, already be out at9.00am can be considered as a kind of early. many things gonna happen today, and no matter how it turn to be i hope i can, at the end of the day have a smooth ride home ( i mean gombak, here).

had a walk around the morning market near shah alam stadium, somehow i saw a large crowd circling a stall. in fact, from far i can only hear the voice of the seller while he himself was somewhere in the middle of the people. i know this must be another 'jamu' or any kind of traditional medicine telling the whole lot of stories to people, selling their stuffs..show some magic and people later get amazed..take the pills back home, hoping some kind of magic will happen on them.

though my heard hesistate, still... i slipped thru the crowd for the sake of finding out what really happen and hell, i was right. but somehow curiousity came in and i stood still, to be precise...i even went to the level of tolerating a bastard beside that was puffing his cigarette one after another..right beside my nose.

what did i find? a man, age somewhere around 40 (but he later claimed he is 50 plus) doing a magic to turn a whole boxRM 1 note to RM 50 and 100.(mind you not a piece, but a BOX). and those Rm 1 notes will later be given to the first 20 people to become 'ibu duit'-so called can make sure your cash flow shall never stop. but just before he open it, took out about 20 rings, said to be made from 'Batu Geliga Alam' that has been 'filled ' with spells using words from the Quran, claimed to have a lot of power. if you have problem to find a job, wear the ring, turn it upside down so the stone touches the palm of a person that interviews you and things will become easier. that can also works to make a person likes you (your boss, subordinates, etc). he later told everybody that he is giving them all FREE of charge . He can't sell them, he said because he was prohibited to. But all these will only happen, provided you donate RM1 to any blind man or to the mosque. but before all that happen, you need to fill those notes in an envelope, where every person be provided with one each.he later took those envelops for the purpose so he can fill the rings in the envelopes.sounds nobel? lets move on...

later, the medicine came out. he guarantees they will work or you can hit him to death. and the intersting part is, he will give the rings to those who buys his 'jamu's, cost RM 20 a set. if you buy 2 sets, you entitle to 2 rings. and for those that gave RM 1 earlier for the ring, if you don't buy he shall later call you as a non-believer and he'll return the money. HAH! now, what happen with the promise? and doesn't that action somehow seems as selling those rings too? and the best part...those who had given the Rm 1 notes earlier now trapped between to buy or not to buy. if they don't want to..they shall be called as a non-believer..IN PUBLIC. but if he is to buy? does he really need it? or does he really believe in it?

at the end of the day, i decide to walk out even before the 'show' ends. before he manage to disperse all the rings, before he opens the money box. no matter the magic works or not, doens't matter to me anymore. besides, if he can do all that? why bother to sit under the hot sun and sell jamu? batter still he duplicate those money to as much as he need (or don't need) and be a rich guy. that is even better than any quick-rich scheme or MLM programs, isn't?

even after all that, i didn't consider what happened that as a waste of time, but another valuable experience to be remembered. i take it as an evidence of how hardship of life really makes people try to squeeze every single avenues they can find to get easy the simples way possible. this goes both to the seller and all his 'believers'.

as i continue walking to my bike, saw the same scene at the other corner of the market...don't worry, i know whats happening.

something is wrong with the chatbox. i've post the new one. hope this will last longer.(lin should be proud with me!)

that is what will happen when an i.t-blind person work something on html codes..he can just pray what he is doing works well.

well, as usual (it has only been 2 weeks and i started to call it 'usual') went for an ultimate pickup in UM, and according to plan at this particular moment i should be somewhere in Starhill area in KL for a drink with them. seemed that i have to let it pass tonight, maybe some other time, people.

the past 5 days have been a kind of great, hectic and fun! minus the downpour at almost every evening that deters me from doing some layout on the feild. (yes, thats what you call as 'dive' in other sports-and god, i'm so into this ultimate thingy)

lets move on....as more and more days passed by, i become to miss my gym session more and more. and to do all that again i'm starting to think about leaving the part time job i'm soing now. not for the sake of goin gym alone, but i also hope to put more effort working on 3 projects i need to complete in order to graduate. i can't let myself stuck in this cocoon of degree-level educaion anymore. need to start working, get real-world experience..go overseas, do my masters..get my doctorate. notice that 'get married' is not in the list? simply explains the level of priority i have for that effort in my life.

annoncement: if you check my profile there'll be one more blog in my list. ingnore it. that is my guinea pig page. you know, to try new skins, etc. keep on coming to this one. and this one only! =)

time to update my template!

finally, made it for ultimate saturday pickup @ UM. with Astaka, Taylors' and Help people overthere the atmosphere was good.

the game went well, tho i can't see very clearly (my glasses were broken, remember?) i can still manage to ride all the way from shah alam though arrived a bit late. somewhere around 9.30am. still i manage to throw well ( i mean precise and accurate) though stumbled during the first 3 throws(you know, need time to get used to the new vision)

and now i'm in gombak, took a bus ride home. i don't think i want to take any chance riding bike at night with this kind ov vision i'm having. will need to be in shah alam as soon as tomorrow to attend 2 weddings. both were people that are close to me.

i'm blind..i'm blind..i'm blind...i'm blind..('blind'-korn-life is peachy)
